St. Albert, Alberta · Serving our community since 1984
Nobody in St. Albert should go hungry.
The St. Albert Food Bank and Community Village provides emergency nutritional support and a full village of programs — food hampers, community liaison, financial literacy, tax help and more — to neighbours who need a hand up.
Programs & Services
A whole village of support, not just a food hamper.
The Food Bank and the Community Village came together to support vulnerable neighbours with a hand up rather than a hand-out — addressing the underlying issues that bring people to our door.

Our mission
We help disadvantaged residents reach or return to independence.
Since 1984 we've provided emergency nutritional support to the community. In 2009 the St. Albert Community Village opened, adding programs that address the reasons people come to our door in the first place.
Independence
Support that helps people stand on their own again, rather than a hand-out that ends at the door.
Empowerment
Programs that build skills — financial literacy, resumés, tax filing, cooking together.
Personal Safety
A warm, confidential place to talk about housing, abuse, unemployment or crisis.
Improved Quality of Life
Food on the table today, and a path to a brighter future for the whole family.
Support us
As a non-profit, we depend considerably on community support.
Monetary and food donations are always welcomed and appreciated. Cash donation receipts are provided at the end of every month.
In their words
Care that continues beyond the front door.
We want the best care for our clients within the community. We partner with individuals and organizations in order to ensure a continuity of care.
One way we make it possible for people to attend our financial literacy workshops is to remove all barriers. We provide child care and a meal to take stress and anxiety off their shoulders.
A huge thank you to Walmart Canada, its customers and associates for an outstanding donation of $35,726.93 to the St. Albert Food Bank. We are so very grateful.
